Savings!

I know that I always want to be in style, know and have the latest trends, but sometimes that comes a little bit pricey! So here's some help!

Tom's for instance, yes they go to a good cause, but some people need that extra cash!
So here is the "Fleharty" from Aldo. They are actually really comfy. I have them and they are a great alternate to Tom's at only $40.00 a pair. They fit a little small in my opinion, so try a size up! They come in red, gold, off white with multi colored striped, and black with colored designs. There are also similar styles Kalaoa, and Sarraga and Since I got the red here they are!
OK! The Toms support a great cause; they give a pair of shoes to a child for every pair sold, I love them and I would kill for a pair of the sparkly ones! I wish.... They are sold on the Little Burgundy Site, as are some other Toms, such as the "Brouwer", which is very similar to the Aldo Fleharty. These are $60.00; so a savings of $20.00. I am sure you can find Tom's everywhere, but finding a quality knockoff, that's a little more difficult.
So there ya go! Savings! If you search around you can really find great deals. Yes, it is great to have the name brand that everyone is wearing, But why do that when it is SO easy to fake it and still look good!

NO UGLY SHOES!

I am going to post a pic of one of my shoes per post lets see if I can keep that up!

Aldo blue beauties!

Platforms

Platforms are back in style! Really they remind me of everything spice girls.Which isn't bad, but that is just what comes to mind! They are a part of my generation and I love it!
I love platform heels they give such an exaggerated long leg, but then there is what I saw at work the other day. Rainbow platform converse runners. My manager tried to take a picture but failed very badly. They were different "aka ugly". Converse shoes should be worn as flat sneakers. If you want height please wear a nice shoe.

If you want some height you really have to find something a little more fashionable. You don't have to go overkill with a huge heel. A wedge heel can do the job. It is not hard to walk in wedges, actually it's EASY! Don't say it isn't! I am a tall girl and I wear them all the time 5'10 and I don't tip over even in the highest heels. Well... maybe if it's windy.
See easy. But then there are those of you that want a lot of height that is when I recommend one of my FAVOURITE SHOES the "Lita" by Jefferey Campbell. Seriously this shoe is just plain HOT! This shoe sells out constantly! No wonder. Ask any JC girl what she thinks is the best shoe and it will be The Lita! Good for all you shorties!
warning there are many ugly wedges that are in the old lady category.
 Please No more ugly shoes

P .S. In my world a JC girl is a Jefferey Campbell girl, not a bimbo.

solestruck

Ok, I love my job! But I must say the people at Solestruck have it MADE!!! Their Motto " to Rid the world of Ugly shoes one pair at a time", GENIUS! I hate ugly shoes, and i am sorry Aldo, but what is THIS? 1993 is over and no this was not a good look!
So I doubt everyone knows my favourite designer, but it's Jeffrey Campbell. Of course Solestruck carries my precious JC's, that is how i found them, on a mad hunt trying to find a place that sold his shoes. Now many people carry his work, which makes my life easier. Like Little Burgundy, which I WISH we had here in this little city I live in, but they just carry a few. Which is why i "heart" solestruck And I WANT these! Snick Fringe
That is a shoe! Enough said. NO MORE UGLY SHOES!!!! If you want to join my campaign to ban ugly shoes follow my blog!

The perfect shoe?

The perfect shoe... in everyone's mind it is different, and it always changes.

You know when you walk into to a store and you are hit by the beauty of it? Ya that's called a shoe addiction. I have that badly! That is why I work at a shoe store (Aldo); to feed my addiction.

All the girls and I have been in love with the shoe “Forwood” (see picture below) they are different, colorful, every girls dream, but of course being a small Aldo we don’t carry them! So when my mother was in Vancouver I begged her to get them for me from the Robson store. It was the last pair I was so happy.

I came home tried them on and I must say they look very cool (profile pic!), but of course they have a rip! Oh why! So now instead of wearing them like a happy shoe addict I have to get my friend to return them and reorder a new pair. Aldo staff can’t do that. Now I am over analyzing, the shoe is cool, but it’s very hard, and it squishes my toes. Do I really want them? Nope, now I want a different pair, “Lifsey” which of course costs more. It is leather though, so I know it will be softer and comfier!

Usually I wouldn’t have time to analyze the shoe. I would be in love and wear them, get bored of them of course and find a new “perfect shoe”. So now I know I am going to over think things a lot, although I think that is ok. My wallet will thank me.

PS- Aldo does not pay me to write about them, this is all on my own time.
